Well, I heard they got married and they bought a little place He worked nights, and she worked days And they had two mean kids His old dog and her wandering eyes. Well, I heard she's up to her old tricks again And she did what she did to me to him And the whole town knew it Hell, I guess I dodged a bullet. So, if you find a dive down in Cartersville, Georgia There's a dude with a bulldog's tattoo in the corner Of the bar With a scar On his left eye: It's from a mean right hook of mine. He got my girl and a few good licks in It broke my heart but that was back then And I figured out later That he might've did me a favor. Well, I can see him there and he's sitting in the same ole stool That I broke in when she broke me in two And looking back now Well, I reckon I owe him a round. He got my girl and a few good licks in It broke my heart but that was back then And I figured out later He might've did me a favor.

Despite the craziness and uncertainty of these current times, one thing is for certain, music and creativity always prevail. Rising artist, Riley Green joins the likes of many other artists across genres, who are using this time to reconnect with themselves, their loved ones, and of course, writing music.

He acknowledges all the changes that have occurred since he has been home, as well as, what he has learned from slowing down. Like all of us, Green feels the intense weirdness around all the changes that have taken place because of this pandemic, but he also feels the benefits of slowing down and appreciating every moment. Green leans on his faith during this time and has given way to the notion that God must know better than him about what is to come.

In other words, take each day one step at a time, find the goodness and positive in each moment, and remember that there is a purpose and a reason for everything. As always, we will get through these times stronger and more resilient than before, and of course, music will always be here for us. A portion of sales from each purchase is donated to different foundations that support our heroes.

We are dedicated to honoring their service and remembering their sacrifice. Kicking things off, Swag Session alumni , Travis Denning took the stage to captivate the already packed venue. As soon as the house lights dimmed and the giant Christmas tree lights flickered on complete with a red solo cup star , fans of the Alabama native and headliner, Riley Green started screaming.

Taking a moment in between songs to introduce the next or tell a quick story about the songwriting process, Green kept the room engaged for the entirety of the Wednesday evening. It was incredible to watch an entire venue sing along to a song that we featured as an acoustic version over a year ago during our Swag Session with the breakout star.

Watch that performance below. The fourteen-track record is full of songs for both the traditional and modern-day country lover. The new record is laced with old-school country influences and themes of heartbreak, love, and pride in small-town upbringing. Green continues to prove why we named him one of our Artists to Watch.

The track was both his first radio single and his first number one song, and the buzz surrounding the track quickly catapulted Green into the limelight. He lets fans into the inner workings of his heart on this track. While still keeping his manly man edge, the singer admits to not wanting to leave his girl after a great time together. The first garnered approval by fans even before its release. The latter is a more direct appreciation song for both of his grandfathers.

He compares himself to the devil and her to an angel, while admitting that he tried everything to get over her. And I want to have a sound that is unique. I do things different and the fans allow me to do that. In this case, Green nails it.

He created a record that is undoubtedly unique, yet has that familiarity, where listeners will want to listen again and again. Find tickets to his first-ever headlining tour here.

Just as the sun was beginning to set, one of our Artists to Watch , Riley Green took to the stage. It was clear the audience did not mind as all, as fans both sang the words back to Green and nodded and danced in approval as they listened to his breathtaking vocals.

Check out our Live Swag Session with Riley Green below from last Fall where he performed and chatted with us months before getting that number one. Approximately ten minutes later, entertainer, Chris Lane brought his high-energy set to the amphitheater, even mentioning that the venue was one of his favorites to perform at.

Before he even took the stage, the stage lit up with colorful lights and eclectic music blared from the speakers. It was obvious that Lane was about to leave his heart and soul on the stage, keeping everyone entertained. Lane borrowed an American cowboy hat from a fan in the audience to get into character. Check out the interview below where he chats about hitting the road, music, and more.

Green and Lane definitely did their jobs, as fans were eager to hear from the headliner, Brad Paisley. Paisley not only brought his unique swagger and strong vocals to the stage, but his theatrics and background images were unparalleled, only adding to the whole ambiance of his almost two hour set. The seasoned musician sang a mix of some of his greatest hits, new songs, crowd-favorites, and everything in between.

Not only is Green extremely talented, but he was also blessed with good looks too.

For us ladies who love a man with a beard, he is the guy for you. Green was raised in Jacksonville, Alabama on old traditional country, bluegrass and southern gospel music.

Growing up, he spent his childhood songwriting and performing for his grandfather, who ran Golden Saw Music Hall. Green shared the stage with his grandfather, Bufford Green and other influential men of his time. As he grew older, he put his own mixture of modern rebellion into his original music. We sat down with Green at The Boogie Room in October while he performed two songs for us and spoke about his experience as a country music artist up until that point.

Watch the Swag Session above. Within days of the penned ballad making its debut on YouTube, it miraculously collected a mere 1. Without those relationships, Green may not be at this point in his career. Grandpa Buford acquainted Green to the likes of Merle Haggard and Hank Williams and instilled those traditional roots in his him when he was a child.

In the new song, Green tackles a difficult subject, dedicating the track to his grandfather. So racking season is kicking into full gear, this seems like the perfect time to release it.

The new track will make you shed a tear, as the emotional component is truly its best asset. For Green, the racetrack remains a coveted memory for himself and his grandfather, but the message will resonate to anyone, who has ever lost or loved someone.

It will be interesting to see what a full-length record would be like from Green in the future. To keep up with Green, follow him on Instagram , Twitter , and Facebook. Guys With Guitars: My Country In the next round, Dylan Scott and Jimmie Allen played their biggest songs and even brought out a special guest. He was very interactive with the crowd, even roses were being thrown up on stage to his band.

The rising country star has another hit on his hands with his new song. The track tells the story of a guy admitting that he probably blew his chance with a girl that has it all together and knows her worth.

The catchy hook and chorus is sure to be stuck in your head, after just one listen. Take a listen to the track below and click here to check our New Country Music Spotify playlist for your new country music fix.

Additionally, Green will continue to play some of his own shows, including a My Country Head to rileygreenmusic. See below for a full list of tour dates.
